About BS 7671

The IET Wiring Regulations is currently in its 18th Edition. BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 was published in March 2022 and came into effect on 28 March 2022. From this date, all new and amended electrical installations are to conform to the requirements of BS 7671:2018+A2:2022.

But where do these requirements come from?

Setting the Standard

Wiring Matters magazine explains how BS 7671 comprises both international regulations and UK specific requirements.

British Standards and Brexit

The British Standards Institution (BSI) has made a statement on how it expects BREXIT to affect British Standards and our relationship with European standards organisations in the future.
