The transition period for BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 (Amendment 2) ended on 15 October 2026. As a result, Amendment 2 is now obsolete and should no longer be referenced for new electrical installation work, project specifications, certification or compliance purposes.

To ensure compliance with the latest requirements of the IET Wiring Regulations, electrical professionals should use BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 (Amendment 4), which is now the current edition of the national standard for electrical installations in the UK.
